Lake Ba Be is a magical place, which fortunately is still off the beaten track. It is surrounded by an immense and impenetrable tropical forest where many varieties of butterflies, reptiles and mammals live. Many caves, just recently discovered, provide new insights into the geography and biodiversity of the region.

Departure for Ba Be National Park via Thai Nguyen and Bac Kan. You will cross a vast region where the cultivation of tea, sugar cane and eucalyptus is very important. After the city of Thai Nguyen, you will enter the country of the Tay, Nung, Dzao sapeque and Cao Lan ethnic groups. There will be several stops to visit the villages, taste the local fruit and take photos. Arrive in Ba Be around 15:00 A magnificent green image unfolds before your eyes: Ba Be Lake is located 145m above sea level in the middle of the national park famous for its limestone rocks. Many ethnic groups live on its banks: the Tay, the H'mong, the Dzao ... The rest of the day is free. Dinner and overnight with the family in a Tay house on stilts in the village of Pac Ngoi.
Car: 230km/4-5 hours D Homestay
Excursion day in the heart of the Ba Be National Park to discover its fauna and flora. A traditional boat will take you to Coc Toc where the walk will start on varied terrain, between forests and rice fields, towards the Khau Quan and Na Ban villages where the Hmong, Dzao and Tay live. The hike will end at Dau Dang waterfall. Packed lunch or in a local restaurant. Second sampan ride to return to Pac Ngoi. Dinner and overnight at the resident.
Sampan: 2 hours Walking: 6 hours B, L, D Homestay
In the morning, visit the Hua Ma cave which was recently discovered. With a length of over 700 m, hosting stalactites and stalagmites. Way back to Hanoi. Stop in Thai Nguyen to visit the ethnographic museum. Arrive in Hanoi at the end of the afternoon. End of our services.
