Wellknown as "Halong Bay on the mainland", Tam Coc and Bich Dong own beautiful and spectacular landscapes. These two famous sites are home to many karst mountains and caves, as well as historical remains. Halong or Dragon's Descent has long been the dream of tourists all over the world. The exceptional beauty of Halong Bay is largely based on its submerged limestone formations: over an area of 1553 km2, it has no less than 2000 islands and islets, most of which are uninhabited and completely preserved from all human activity.
