Saigon-Ben Tre-Can Tho
The Mekong Delta, a vast network of rivers and canals lined with water palms, is Vietnam's capital of rice, fruit and aquatic products. Thanks to the sediments carried by the mighty Nine Dragons River, this region produces enough rice to feed the whole country and also to export it. A short two-day excursion will allow you to stroll in the shade of the orchards to discover the daily life of the inhabitants of the Great South.
Day 1 : Ho Chi Minh ville – Ben Tre – Can Tho
Day 2 : Can Tho - Cai Lay – HCM

Early departure for Ben Tre. The road will cross an immense green region adorned with rice fields, orchards and colorful villages ... Arrive at Hung Vuong Pier around 10:00. Boarding on a local boat that will take you on the small canals to discover the daily life in the delta. Visit a coconut candy factory and brick factory that transforms and bakes Mekong clay. Tour by tuk tuk (motorized tricycle that allows the transport of 6 passengers) or by bicycle to explore the green countryside. The afternoon will be dedicated to a rowing boat excursion. You will walk through a maze of arroyos surrounded by rows of water palms. Around 3 pm, transfer to Can Tho via Cai Mon and Vinh Long. Overnight at your hotel.

At dawn, you'll board a local boat to discover the famous Cai Rang floating market, the largest and most vibrant in the Mekong Delta. The setting is magnificent: hundreds of motorized sampans overflowing with food, rice, fruit and crafts come together to trade and sell the local produce of this fertile region. Effusion of colors and smells, in a very lively atmosphere. Then take the road towards Saigon. Make a stop at Mr. Hai My, in Tam Binh village, visit his large garden with him. Have lunch at this large farmer and savor the traditional flavors of South Vietnamese specialties. Arrive in Saigon in the late afternoon.
At the age of 70, Mr. Hai My is the eldest in his family. This excellent grower has spent his entire life planting many varieties of fruit trees and bonsai in his large garden: sapotiers, rambutan, longan, mango ... Take advantage of a stop at his home, and meet his daughters and his wife; then tastes the authentic local cuisine, for a total immersion in the daily life of the inhabitants of the south and thus experience the hospitality of the Vietnamese.
