Koh Rong - A beautiful laidback island

Koh Rong is the 2nd largest island in Cambodia, located 25 kilometers off Sihanoukville in the Gulf of Thailand. An island that is home to more than 1,100 inhabitants split in 4 villages, living mainly from fishing and tourism. There are no road network so no motorized vehicles There are no motor vehicles due to the fact that there are no road networks, (a perfect pollution-free destination) but there are trails in a lush forest and a 43 km coastline of beaches. Restaurants, bars and guest houses for backpackers are concentrated and run along the seaside.

The island is a paradise for those who love places unspoilt by mass tourism, the wind of freedom, and a little anarchy due to an unregulated development. Considered as one of the last authentic islands of Southeast Asia, this paradise island consists of deserted white sandy beaches, clear turquoise waters, and a chilled out atmosphere with the common sight of wandering children and chickens.
