1. Car
To travel to Laos, it is possible to rent a car, but rarely without a driver. On the other hand, keep in mind that prices are affordable. You need to know also that over 80% of the roads are unpaved roads.

2. The plane
The roads are often not in good condition, there are several airports in Laos. The most famous plane in this small country is ATR 72. Lao Airlines is starting to develop several inter-regional routes, in particular from Luang Prabang, Vientiane and Pakse.

3. Tuk-tuk
As in almost other Southeast Asian countries, tuk-tuk is the most convenient locomotive means in Laos. Driven by a small motorcycle, this vehicle allows you to visit cities or take short trips. The drivers of this vehicle speak some English and probably a few words of French. Don't hesitate to guide them yourself if you know the places a little bit. You should negotiate the price of your trip in advance by indicating the price that seems most appropriate (based on number of passengers transported, on distance  ...) and keeping a smile.

4. Bicycle
The best way to visit cities is by bicycle. Rental companies can be found without any difficulty. Traffic is not heavy and distances are short. In Vientiane you can also rent mopeds to visit the surroundings.
