Nha Trang benefits greatly from its topography: sea, islands, mountains and deltas that make it an attractive region. An endless mountain range is located to the west of the city and shelters many bird and animal species. Nha Trang beach, nicknamed Vietnam’s Mediterranean Sea, stretches for 7km with hundreds of historical monuments and scenic landscapes.

1. How to go to Nha Trang?

400km at north of Saigon, 140km from Da Lat, the city of Nha Trang becomes an essential site for Vietnamese in summer. Travelers can go to Nha Trang by night train, plane or local bus. Cam Ranh Airport is 35km from Nha Trang. There are several flights a day from Ha Noi, Sai Gon, Da Nang.

2. What to do in Nha Trang?

2.1. Take a swim on beaches

There are several beaches in Nha Trang. The central beach runs in parallel with Tran Phu road, in the city of Nha Trang. The beach is very clean with white sand but it is a bit crowded in the late afternoon. If you go a little far, you will find less crowded beaches such as: Doc Let, Hon Ong or Bai Dai.

2.2. Discover the Long Son pagoda

Built in 1886, Long Son is one of the oldest pagodas in the region. It is located 3km from the city center and has a reclining Buddha, with 17m long, surrounded by 49 stone monks. The pagoda offers a breathtaking view of Nha Trang.

2.3. Discover Cham cultural vestiges

Located on a hill next to the sea, the Po Nagar temple is an famous address to all visitors. If you want to discover the Champa culture, don't miss this temple.

2.4. Scuba diving in Nha Trang

Nha Trang is not the best scuba diving destination in Southeast Asia but you can still admire many varieties of colorful fish and quite a few species of coral.
